OUTDOOR ROOFS

Get it right first time - enjoying innovative design, precision engineering and seamless indoor–outdoor living with our Louvre roof.

Our Louvretec opening louvre roofs are designed and custom-made in New Zealand to provide protection from the Hawke’s Bay sun and occasional rain. Easily operated and available with an inbuilt rain sensor that automatically closes the roof, the louvres can be adjusted to create maximum comfort in any conditions.

Louvretec is one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s great success stories, with products that represent the very best of Kiwi ingenuity.

The ideal accompaniment to a louvre roof system is our outdoor Ziptrak® blinds. Together, they create a versatile, sheltered outdoor room of exceptional quality.

FAQs

SPECS, AESTHETICS & COMFORT

A typical single module spans up to 4m x 5m, but larger areas are covered by combining modules. Louvre roofs can be designed for almost any size outdoor space, from compact courtyards to expansive entertaining areas.

Louvre roofs can be powder-coated in any standard Dulux colour, with the option of two-tone finishes — for example, different colours for blades and the frame, as seen in our showroom.

Yes. Louvretec systems are engineered to be watertight when closed. They include an internal gutter system to manage water runoff. Blades are designed for strength and stability in high winds, helping maintain a tight seal.

  • Aluminium extruded beams, blades and gutters
  • Marine-grade stainless steel fittings
  • Nylon and brass bushings for durability

These materials are corrosion-resistant, strong and suitable for coastal environments.

A louvre roof gives you control over light and airflow. Tilt the blades for cool shade in summer or let more light in during winter. With lighting and screens added, it becomes a cosy retreat at night while staying airy and bright by day.

Every louvre roof is custom-designed, so pricing depends on size, structure, and options such as lighting or screens. Share a photo and some basic measurements, or contact our Hastings showroom for a ballpark estimate. For accurate pricing, we’ll assess your site in Napier, Hastings, or CHB and confirm the best approach.

INTEGRATIONS & TECH

Yes. Roof systems can be enhanced with additional features like blinds for weather protection and privacy, integrated LED lighting, outdoor heaters and even smart home automation. We’ll discuss these options with you during the design stage to ensure everything works seamlessly together.
