Mark
Workshop Foreman
Innovative, thoughtful and dependable, Mark loves working together as a team and pushing creative boundaries. His hero projects include the international award-winning booth seating for Mix’d Cocktail Bar.
Seb
Fabricator
Creative, methodical, and sharp-eyed, Seb came through as an Apprentice (including getting a Highly Commended at Apprentice of the Year). His favourite tool is the 3m straight edge and feels that every job is rewarding to complete.
Mawit
Senior Textile Fabricator
Dedicated, resourceful, and ambitious, Mawit is known for his ability to perform Hawke’s Bay’s marine trimming to the highest standard. With years of experience behind an industrial sewing machine, Mawit brings a level of mastery that makes complex marine trimming look effortless.
Somjit
Textile Fabricator
Passionate, reliable, and accomplished, Somjit is our wizard on the shade sail table and welder. With over 15 years in the Douglas workshop, Somjit is a real asset to the team. Her favourite part of the job? Good team mates.
Meet the Owners

The Douglas business has a long-term view to ensure it can continue to exist and support its community of staff, and believes in bringing people up from within.
Alongside established owners (since 2018) Pete & Suzanne, Adam & Codie bought into the business in 2023 as part of this plan.
Pete operates as Managing Director, Suzanne takes more of a Marketing & General Support role, while Codie is the Project Manager for Outdoor Living projects, and Adam (himself a skilled fabricator) heads up the Operations & Commercial Sales side of the business.
