From our beginnings over 25 years ago as Hastings Auto and Marine to today, Douglas has always been crafting unique solutions for our customers. Our expertise extends to Outdoor Living spaces, where we’ve gained a strong reputation in the industry and installed over 200 Louvre Roofs in Hawke’s Bay.

From apprentice fabricators to installers, our warehouse and logistics team right through to office and showroom staff, we want our people to develop and grow.

We’re doing our bit to give back. Right now, that means things like sending our shade off-cuts to relief efforts in the Pacific, as well as supporting several Hawke’s Bay community initiatives including:

In previous years we have done things like donating an awning and protective COVID screening to Nourished for Nil, our Discount + Donate campaign which raised nearly $14k for two of our local lockdown heroes, NZ Red Cross and Nourished for Nil, and donating and commissioning two of our used industrial sewing machines to our Hawke’s Bay Red Cross Curtain Bank. We have also helped Sustainable Hawke’s Bay with donations of our work and a fundraising to help them move to their new premises.
In 2022 we embarked on a sustainability journey and continue to learn and grow in this space.
