Beautiful boat seats – a loving restoration
They came to us in a sad looking pile – these well loved boat seats and matching interior needed a new lease of life. So the story goes, the customer’s father had built a boat when he was a boy, but it had long since been on-sold, seemingly lost to the family.
Now that he has grown up and has his own family, he was able to track down his fathers boat, and buy it. He is now in the process of restoring it and striving to keep it as original as possible.
Finding a textile to match was a challenge that required a three month wait, but it appears worth it. Then once the fabric arrived, our magician upholsterer Mawit seemed to wave his wand and the entire boat seat upholstery and interior lining was reproduced.
The result is a beautiful retro style suite, using Ultramarine textile in Pebble Bahama Tan, with Weatherspan Marine Snow Owl piping. Not only does it look great, it will provide family enjoyment for years to come.
We can’t wait to see what it looks like in place.
Snug fit caravan road cover
Our customer was heading away before the Christmas break and was really hoping to protect their caravan’s paintwork from those inevitable stone chips.
We customised a design and fitted the caravan road cover, complete with a simple fastening system to make it easy to clip on and off.
Voilà!
Outdoor chair upholstery – saying it with stripes
One of our team members couldn’t bear to dump her outdoor seat cushions that were weathered and torn. Instead of importing replacements, we were able to recover the outdoor chairs, complete with relaxing sun lounger to match.
Featuring Sunbrella fabric in Gateway Aspen stripes, our upholsterer took care of the details including velcro straps and cushion zips for easy washing.
Jodi was delighted to have a locally sourced solution that kept the chair squabs from landfill, and gave her outdoor area a stripey new vibe.
A secret toy all wrapped up
We can’t show you what the vehicle is but we can tell you that it was something our customer wanted to keep very safe and secure.
With a fully custom pattern, we upholstered a car cover to keep his pride and joy out of sight from any unwanted attention, and completely covered from any garage debris.
Motorhome awning ready for the sun
The original cassette awning for this motorhome was in need of replacement, so our customers decided to take the opportunity to create some extra shade.
Their choice was a Cvana cassette awning, with a lateral arm and upholstery designed and manufactured in NZ to withstand our weather conditions. Our customer now has a durable motorhome awning that enables maximum enjoyment when they set up camp.
