CUSTOM LOUVRE ROOF WITH ZIPTRAK® SCREENS: A PERGOLA WITH A VIEW
This north-facing patio needed protection from the elements without sacrificing their beautiful view.
THE PROJECT
The Padden family were in need of a shade solution for their 4m x 6.3m patio that faced north, with a view spanning across the rural landscape. The louvre roof installation needed to provide elegant shade and shelter without obstructing the scenery, and had to meet the high standards of the client, who had been a builder all his life.

The team knew they had to be on the ball, and deliver an extremely high quality product and service. After taking the time to truly understand the Paddens’ needs in order to fully meet them, custom outdoor louvres were designed for this job.
Created by NZ Louvres the system was fabricated using the only aluminium in New Zealand certified by Enviro-Mark for having a lower carbon footprint.
Onsite with the Douglas team, custom Ziptrak® screens were face-fixed in stylish two-piece extruded pelmets, creating extra height and an unobstructed view.
The Padden family can now enjoy looking out at their country landscape all year round from their beautiful pergola with louvre roof, and the value added to the property will easily be recovered on the housing market. The family gets the benefit of considerable additional equity in the property, as well as an eye-catching and inviting space.
