Custom camping package adds versatility
The best part of having a boat is having it out on the water. You want to spend as much time out enjoying the water as possible.
The customer of this fishing boat project wanted just that.
The project
Douglas was approached to create a custom camping package so the customer could use his fishing boat for overnight excursions. After discussing ideas with our production manager Peter, we came up with the answer for a complete camping package with added versatility.
The Douglas Innovation solution
For flexibility, we designed and constructed a collapsible aluminium frame. We covered the frame with a heavy-duty canvas roof and added removable clear PVC sides.
As an added feature the D-shaped side curtains can be left in place to give extra protection in the cabin area. These curtains can be used independently from the camping package.
Our experienced upholsterer Matt completed this boat upholstery project and with his careful attention to detail, the custom fit around the contours was a perfect fit.
