Our Process for Outdoor Living Projects
There are three steps to a successful outdoor living build with Douglas:
1. YOU CONTACT US
- We have a chat to determine the best fit for you
- Systems and textiles can be browsed in the showroom
- We come and do a site measure at a time that suits
2. WE QUOTE
- We’ll call or email with a formal quote
- You confirm the products and textiles to be used
- You chose what options you would like
3. YOU SAY YES!
- A deposit will be required to get started
- We carry out any further site inspections if required
- If any changes are required, we’ll update your proposal with you
- We pencil in a date and order the materials
- Our install team will confirm the start date
4. WE INSTALL
- Final inspection with you to make sure everyone’s happy
- If you’re adding Ziptrak® screens to a roof system, we’ll site measure again and schedule fabrication
- We’ll return to fit the Ziptrak® screens around 4 weeks later

There are four steps to a successful auto, marine and textile fabrication job with Douglas:
1. YOU CONTACT US
- We have a chat to determine the best solution for you
- Visit the showroom with your car, boat, caravan or upholstery item*
*Please call ahead if you would like to ensure a trained team member is available - We consult with you on the scope of the job and take your details
2. WE QUOTE
- We’ll call or email with a formal quote
- Together we’ll confirm the products and textiles to be used
- Design plans may be included if the job has complexity
3. YOU SAY YES!
- A deposit will be required to get started
- We pencil in a production date and order the materials
4. WE FABRICATE
- If anything curly arises we’ll discuss with you before incurring costs
- Once your job is ready, we’ll call or text you for pick-up
- We’ll do a hand-over to make sure you are happy
